Is it ok to let my Bull Terrier sleep in bed with me?
Hi, I have a three month old Bull Terrier and he is Kennel and Potty trained. He has slept in his kennel from day one, but for the past few nights I have been letting him sleep in my bed with me, with no issues. I actually believe he sleeps better. I am afraid by doing this that he will refuse to go in his kennel while I am away at work daytime, even though when I give him a treat he goes to his kennel with it. Any Advice?

Hi & welcome to the forum.
I don't see a problem with him sleeping with you, as long as you don't mind it for the next 14 years!!
Daytime is different to night time, so he'll still be ok to go into his crate when you have to go out.
I don't allow my Dempsey to sleep on the bed, mainly cause he's too damn big! 5 stone of Bull Terrier shifting around at night tends to get in my way!

Hi and welcome from me, Millie and Bella
My 2 both sleep on the bed at night and during the day if I'm going out Bella will go in her crate with no problems. Recently she has started to go in there on her own when she sees me getting my bag ready.

Buster sleeps in the house and is always with us if we are able to take him wherever we are going, but if he has to stop at home he stays outside and is fine doing that. We haven't had any problems yet, except him trying to get in the door before I can shut him out! lol. I just hide a few treats round now so that I have enough time to get back in the house. He doesn't whine or anything so it should be fine. Buster isn't kept outside all night though - although he was before we got him. I'm not sure what he would think to that, so if you were planning on doing that maybe put him out overnight a few times a week so he is still used to it?

I've always had mine sleep with us with no issues once they are toilet trained.

Neither of mine are allowed upstairs so no experience of dogs in beds im affraid. Wether u want him on the bed or not is really up to u but whatever u decide try and stick to it as 2 not confuse the dog. Just be aware tho that ur little 3 month old bully will be a very big smelly bully in no time at all lol

like kids , if they get into the habit it is really difficult to get them out of it. But saying that Tilly sleeps with us and sometimes she makes a great little toe warmer , we wouldn't have it any other way but its down to your own choice. My OH has shared the bed with my lads Bull Mastiff and that was a little more challenging

Re: Is it ok to let my Bull Terrier sleep in bed with me?
Hi and welcome to the forum from Rocky and me.
Rocky also sleeps on our bed at night even though he has his own very comfy bed and a crate and the sofa to choose from. I guess a nice warm super King size bed is just too much of a temptation.
I really wouldnt want it to be any other way, he is very cuddly and warm and dosnt snore too much

Hi both mine sleep in our bed but they have a nice duvet next to our bed and will lay on it when told to
During the day when I'm at work they both happily sleep in their crates
