Yep I think she willl PMSL..
I bought her more toys than I bought the bloody kids PMSL

My poor kitty will have the cranks with me tho.. he is such a baby too he follows me around the house like a bad smell... lol
I am sure they will get used to each other in time.. I will make sure Archie gets alot of attention for the first few weeks..

I had my other dog Lady 14 years before we got Milly we had a few shaky weeks when I thought this is not going to work but with help from the people on here and being firm with Milly they now get on fine and Milly understands Lady came first and is boss. I am sure they will get along fine, keep us posted. Smile

Is it just me, or is the only pic there the avatar?

Don't get me wrong, the little pup in the avatar is absolutely gorgeous, but I think there's supposed to be a pic in the post as well?

She looks dark brindle & white. I'd say pied, but I think there's too much brindle for that. Really cute!

A lot of people do. If you get a high factor one for children it'll be ok.

When we had Bandit we used to have to put sun screen on his belly cause he always sun-bathed on his back!

I really hope she does... I am so worried she will hate water lol
I have been watching some U tube stuff of staffys swimming.. and alot of them say they need to be taught??? how on earth can u teach them to swim...

when should I let her have a dip?.. will it be ok to hold her when she is so little?.. gosh there is so much to learn about these puppies

Most will instinctively know how to swim. The best thing is to just put a couple of inches of water in there first & let her splash around. Then gradually let it get deeper. You can let her go in virtually straight away (aren't you lucky, having Christmas in the warm?), but I'd let her settle for a couple of days first. Don't forget to dry her thoroughly afterwards so she doesn't get chilled - young pups can't regulate their body temperature the way adults can.

I have a little splash pool that the kids used to use.. it is a turtle lol.
My pool has 43000 litres of water in it.. I dont think I can empty it to just a few inches lol...
yes we are lucky to have xmas in the summer.... but we have not had a hot xmas day for 5 years!!! about as long as we have had the pool actually.. we are still waiting for that hot xmas day Australia is famous for.
I wont let her get to excited for a few weeks.. see how she goes with the feral kids lol... actaully that arent to bad... good kids and kind to animals which is a bonus.
I cant wait to show you a pic of them with her... it is taking me all my time not to tell them lol

lol! No, I don't see that being practical! The little pool will be fine till she's used to it, and then maybe if you have a shallower end to the big pool you can try her with that. Otherwise just start by holding her so her head's above water & see if she 'swims' with her legs. Once she's confident & striking out with her legs you can let her go but keep your hand under her so she feels safe.

I wouldn't try her in the main pool till she a couple of months older though, It might scare her & that'll introduce a fear for later on. It may also tire her too much.

Wait till it is a nice warm day and she is in a great mood and a few months old... who knows she may just decide on her own when the time is right.
