Anti Staffy petition

I have recently seen an anti staffy petition on ipetitons.

It was started by the father of the 6yr old girl who's ear was bitten off in an attack in the local park.

They want to get ALL SBTs muzzled at all times in public as well as always on leash. They want them and all 'muscle' type dogs adding to the banned list or being pulled more under the DDA.

People are very quickly jumping on the wagon and supporting this, they do not see the real reasoon behind bad dogs- the bad owners.
What they are saying is * and the bad owners need muzzling.

I have found the following link to a petition to support the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, I have signed and commented on this subject as I feel very strongly about it as I guess most of the members here do also.

Please sign the petition and pass it on to friends family and supporters to get the breed some back up and good press.

There are a lot of negative petitions out at the moment wanting staffies banned and or inc on the dangerous dogs list and muzzled at all times in public- this is * muzzle the * owners who allow their dogs to do it.

Just want to make people aware that this is going on and our voices need to be heard

i wouldn't worry about that not even on the official website, the goverment know it's a soecity problem not a dog problem..

This will always be in the news, I've dealt with quite a few dog bits myself at work and every time I've blamed the owners. Its just society in general we never fix the problem. We just blame and try to make the people that are already law abiding decent people, conform to stupid legislation whilst the small minority carry on as before. Give it 5 years or so and we will move onto another breed. It changes every decade.

I'm just happy those in the "know" so to speak, know its not the dogs fault!.

I think the goverment knows it a soceity problem and they also know they wont be able to fix the soceity until we get out of the human right act, if they didn't think it was the soecity problem alot more breed would of been banned by now.

i think they would of added to ban list when the 3 year was kill by the pitbull type in liverpool or when them 2 rottie kill that baby.
