Japanese New Years Decorations Empty Japanese New Years Decorations

New Years is a huge deal here in Japan. The country basically shuts down for three days and there tons of ceremonies and traditional events. The door decoration is to bring in good luck and fortune and happiness for the new year as well as blocking bad luck from coming in.

There are 12 Japanese zodiacs signs and next year is the year of The Dragon. And just so Suki doesnt feel left out here's a pic of her on the couch under the blankets.

Looks gorgeous! I just read a story hat you might find interesting... I think it would be awesome... if I could afford it and had money to just fritter, I definitely would! Japan is on my list of travel destinations Big Grin

We don't quite have that much money to spare Laughing Japan is a great country and probally the favorite that I have ever visted.
