I'm angry!

I'm fuming, I posted a topic on a website forum I go on saying 'Does anyone like Staffordshire Bull Terriers?' and some of the replies I got are shocking.
Someone said: 'I don't. I find them to be an ugly dog but that's only my opinion.'.
And: 'On those real life hospital programmes my mum watches its almost always a staffie when people get attacked'.
I'm so so angry! I love how staffie's get shown in bad light all the f'ing time. Staffie's are SO soft.
I'm seething.

Don't post on that forum then People judge and its all the media Xx

Sadly people see what they see in the press and judge on that .. all that matters is we know what staffies are REALLY like .. and we adore our dogs, thats all that counts.
it does hit the anger spot when you see/hear all the people who would rather believe the bad press tho', it really ticks me off.

Yeah, it kind of upsets me.
I know from the staffies I've met they are all really soft.
Kind of hits a nerve.

It's strange, isn't it? How people's views of a certain breed can be so blinkered.

I post on a GSD forum, and when I furst joined I was the only one with a bull breed. People on there were fascinated about how I could like them after having had GSDs in the past. Now, most of them have been won over & are pretty clued up on staffs & bullys.

I guess education is the key. Go back on to the forum & give them a lesson or two!

I know! Its terrible! ive had a full blown argument on the field with a woman who told me because mys dogs are staffies i should not be allowed to let them off the lead! When her two little ankle biters are know to have attacked other dogs!

Its stupid people that get staffies to make themselves look hard and then dont look after them properly that give staffies a bad name.

At the moment we all live in a dumb society the shout before getting the fact first

Ask them to look at this forum, they will then see what Staffys are like and their responsible owners.

just my two pence worth, i was one of those ppl, i was brought up with dogs but was always told to stay away from staffs....i am really sorry for that... anyway.. someone posted on my wall about a staff who saved a toddler from being strangled on one of those rope on blinds things...i was like wow.. done some research of my own, found this forum.....and to cut a not so long story short...my family are adopting a Staff tomorrow whom we have named River we cant wait, she was going to be PTS so i had to have her.. just shared that to try and let you know that us humans are not all bad, just uneducated and a bit gullible where the media is concerned and behalf all all the people who have made you angry i wanted to say sorry ..

I also disliked staffs for years. I unfortunately believed all the hype until met and fell in love with my dads staff. I did some research and decided I wanted one, and Charlie joined us a couple of months later. I honestly could not imagine life without him now

Well they are ugly. But thats what makes them more beautiful to me

It makes me so angry that people can judge a breed dog by what the press say. i love my staffie's and i dont think i would have any other breed of dog.there is just some thing about them

i would have to disagree with the ugly remark
you just got to look a staffs eyes and you can see there the most handsome or beautiful animal looking back at you
