Can you type without watching the keyboard?

i always hit the wrong key really i should read everything i post but i'm lazy

I type fast and pretty accurately but I do make mistakes sometimes if I'm watching the monitor rather than the keyboard.

just a small bit, but 90% of the time i watch the keyboard

I can but out of habbit I look at the keyboard. I did one of them teach yourself to touch type things abou 10 years ago....I do things like that when im bored. Should of spent the time to teach myself how to hack banks of something usefull

Yes without mistakes i write stories/poems and to practrice i wrote out and saved every book that interested me.

I find that very interesting.... dont take this the wrong way... but why on earth would you bother?.
I mean how do you fit something like that into your day... you have 3 dogs, care for Duke ( how is he going by the way) and study?.. it would make more sense to retype the Dog Phy you are studying...
I am sure proffesional typiest wish they made no mistakes, it is their jobs and they make mistakes..

When i said favorite books i did also mean my learning books read and retyped dog training, dog physcology books etc, i don't retype them all at once sometime i only get to read and type a simple paragraph every few days but by retyping it drilled the information into my head and it stuck so i can't complain.I have an anxiety problem so writing with a pen is out of the question if i wish to be able to read it, so throughout college i was always on the laptop during lectures. At the moment i am only concentrating on the dogs and my course (which is going great i got a merit so far but i'm building upto a distintion). not so much my stories and poems. so i'm really not that busy still got time for my tele programes etc but not so much now because Blondy is going out almost every hour for bathroom breaks.
also being able to run on 4-5 hours sleep or little naps in a day is a plus.
Plus i do make mistakes but thats my spelling from dislexia. Duke is doing absolutly wonderful he's now inside and a family pet of lukes but i'll put more info on that in the correct topic later.

can just about do it even when im looking at the key board....i only use one finger and type that way.....

me too its like a...p...p...l....e lol then i usualy spell i all wrong

I have to look at the keyboard when typing. I think it's generally an age thing. Even when I was at university essays and things were hand written. People of my age and above generally have not have the lifetime's practise that younger people have had.

By the time I did my M.Phil everything had to be word processed. Now, I hate writing by hand because my hand writing looks like some drunk 3 year old has scribbled unintelligible symbols on a scrap of paper. I try hard, but even I cannot sometimes understand what it is I have written by hand.

me?! yeh i can do like a million words a minute!! honestly,type without looking!! NO!!!!!!!! Can do the texting thing no bother but not on a proper keyboard! only just started using a computer at the age of 30!!
