My baby Kaos sleeps in his crate and Ty sleeps next to him in his dog bed but is still contained to under the stairs and hall.....We have a very strict no upstairs policy and not on the sofas in the main living area...they can go on the one in the kitchen though!

In his crate. In the kitchen. NOT in the bedroom, he's too big & fidgety!

Lucy likes to sleep in between us.
She has her own bed during the day and evening but come night-time it's into the big bed!!

Re: Where does your dog sleep at night?
During the day Prince will sleep on his own bed in the livingroom next to the sofa right by where i sit, but the minute i move things off the sofa to lie down and watch tv for a bit thats it he sits there looking at me ears up - enough to say Mummy can i come up and snuggle , and i just can't resist giving in to him
But at night as soon as we go to to bed we say right come on Bed, thats it he darts up straight in bedroom to his other bed
yes he has 2 beds he is spoilt, he stays there until we have settled down the light is off then we hear him pattering around and he sits at the side of the bed and will NOT move until we tell him he can come up then he either lies with his daddy, with me or in the middle of both of us, and thats where he stays till morning when we get up
and even then i either get his daddy stretched across my side or Prince or both and end up on the end of the bed with hardly any duvet, so i have swapped sides with Night Crawler so im by the wall and ahhhhhh heaven no covers pinched and no on the end of the bed
Prince and his daddy are as bad as each other when in bed

Re: Where does your dog sleep at night?
When I got Kita (many moons ago), I lived in the tropics in Cairns and she slept with her Bull Mastiff bro on a trampoline in the built in outside laundry. Later when we moved to Townsville they slept in a huge dog crate/kennel we made them unless it was too cold and they were in the lock up garage with access to the back yard via the laundry door. In the morning Kita always got to hop on the bed and have a lie in with me if I was on an afternoon shift.
Once I moved to Adelaide and it was just Kita & I, she very quickly adapted to sleeping in her dog bed on the floor of my bedroom, and I'd find her snuggled up against my back sometime during the night.
Over the years the dog bed has moved into the lounge in front of the heater (during winter she almost slept in the heater, I think). Her and Izzy sleep together on a big dog bed in the family room with the heater for company in winter or the A/C in summer, but the morning sleep ins continue to this day. I do have to lift her on the bed these days, but then her and Izzy play push & shove to see who can wiggle in closest and I don't get much of a sleep in once the snoring starts

I've voted for dog bed cus I've tried teaching Poppy sleeping in her bed instead of mine! She does try to jump into my bed in the middle of the night though! So sometimes she sleeps in her bed 9pm-2am then the rest of the night she spends in my bed, cheeky girly!

When it's actually time to go to sleep, Duke sleeps in his bed in my son's room. Otherwise while we're still up, he snoozes in his bed in the living room.
