POSSIBLY POORLY STAFFY, HELP.
I have a nearly 3 year old Stafffy (Zach) The last couple of evenings he seems to have been very restless and won't stop whining / wingeing. He seems to be very unsettled. He doesn't seem to be running a temerature although he is a little bit warm. No reason for him to be poorly.
Just before we take him to the dreaded V word (Vet) is there anything that anyone might recognise?
Could there be a bitch on heat in the area?
We just don't know if there is any outside factor influencing him. It's getting to the annoying stage now.
Thanks
Jezza

I was just about to suggest there being a bitch in season locally, best thing to do is to keep him stimulated physically and mentally tire him out as much as possible.
Run your hands gentle squeezing areas of his body to make sure it isn't pain related, If not all i can say is keep your cool with him or he'll just pick up on your negative energy and he'll be even more anxiouse, If he is still eating, fouling etc then give him a week while the bitch is in season and see how he is.

Ledger has been in a funny mood for a day or so a bit more clingy than usual tonight I'd just put it down to the odd fireworks that are going off that or he senses that I don't really want to do my essay and knows that by sitting on my knee I cant use the laptop (he has mastered highlighting and deleting things with his paw on the touchpad)

Could he be hearing fireworks in the distance?

How much exercise is he getting a day? Two 45 minutes walks are about right.

I think if nothing has changed in his routine, and he's eating & drinking well, then there's unlikely to be anything really wrong.
I'd put it down to either an in season bitch nearby or fireworks.
However, if you really are worried, a quick trip to the vets will set your mind at ease.

We were going to suggest fireworks. They can hear far more than we can. Providing his tummy/toilet is ok just be calm and ignore it. If you keep reassuring him that gives him the message that there is something to worry about.
Having said that, our vet practice is more than happy to give friendly advice over the phone so it may be worth giving yours a call to put your mind at rest.
Hope he settles down.

I'd say possibly fireworks.
They pant, and become anxious and tremble and also whine.
There hearing is soo much greater than ours, even if you don't hear fireworks he can.
