thanks everyone. Still makes me tear up, when i think of her. I visit her each day in our backyard, and say, "Hello my Molly Girl"!! Will always be in my heart. I actually carry her dog tag on my key ring, so I have her close by when im not home...

just thought i would share with you all the special spot where molly is, in our garden. We had the plaque made, its made from crystal like perspects i think, and we had our favourite photo of Molly, lasered into it. Its turned out really great we think. Its also seemed to have coped with the weather too.

ok staffsrock this site might help you get the idea, ours wasnt sold as an outdoor plaque, but we explained to them what we wanted and its weathered really well. We didnt get our from this site, but thought it might help you. we actually got our from a camera processing store that offered this. I think our was $150.00, its quite heavy too, my hubby then cut a bluestone paver, and we lacquered it, to place the crystal onto. Good luck let me know how you go.

well i just thought I would spill my tears here.... having a tough time these pass few weeks. Walked pass the florist where i got mollys flowers for her 6mth anniversary, just yesterday, saw the florist lady, who i burst into tears when she asked who the flowers were for, back then.. tears are falling now.... i just miss her so much. Im really dreading her 1 yr anniversary which will be Sept 13th...I think of all the photos that i have taken of her, all the fun times we had, the holidays we all went on, Molly meeting Roxy for the first time, she was just so excited to have someone to play with. Molly was also a great "nurse", licking roxy's ears, any cuts that we had, she tendered too. she just loved socks too!! I think I am struggling as I had pictured when her time came, that we would ask the vet to come to our house, and make it as stess free as possible for her....but it just wasnt that way. She went to the vet because i had suspected problems as she would slightly shake her head, and if you werent looking you would miss it. Managed to get it on video, and showed the vet.Molly was sheduled for an xray, the night before i found a big lump just under her ribcage, and knew it wasnt right, straight down to the vet at 7.30pmTues 11th Sept 2007, yep somthing was not right, xrayed the next dayWed 12th....something was not right with her spleen. The vet explained all the possiblitly, so i hit the net to search it all out. Deep down after search and confirming my worst nightmare, it all pointed to cancer of the spleen. If its correct, there is also a chance that it had/has spread.....thurs 13th Sept we had to take her to the Vet that morning, it was the hardest thing i have ever done.....We all said goodbye that morning at home, just in case it was bad, but you never really do say the "propper" goodbye.....
Arrived at the vet that morning at 8.30am, feeling sick to my stomach....this could be the last time I see/have her with me. Molly entered the Vet really calmly, and the staff all knew why we were there.... as they took her lead from me, i just fell to the floor and hugged her....my molly girl.....its just not ment to be like this!!!She was really brave, snuggled into my neck and gave me my last "cuddle"....then we went home and sat by the phone. My Hubby took that day off work also....at 9.47am we got the call from the vet.....they have her on the opperating table at the moment, her spleen i enlarged and cancerous, also there are several "cancer" spots on her liver....... I must say our vet was so caring....
they asked what we would like to do, and the kindest, though hardest thing, is to let Molly go.... even though we really wanted her for however many weeks she might have (vet said 6 weeks at most) it was the kindest path for Molly. I asked Ursula our vet to please give her a hug form as, whilst she was put to rest.... I got off the phone and burst into tears, along with my husband..... It just happened all so fast, not how we had planned the perfect "time" for Molly to go. With in 2 days, she was gone..... i cant believe it.... We arrived at the vets, and brought Molly home, we burried her with 9 bright pink Gerbra flowers, 1 for each year she was here, also with her favourite toy, and dinner bowl.

I am looking back at a lovely card that I received from my Vet about molly.... it goes like this...
Dated the next day, 13th Sept 2007
"Please accept our most heart felt sympathies for the loss of your sweetest little stesshead "Molly". We know how much she means to you and that she lit up your day, every day. It would have been such a shock to find out how unwell she actually was, despite running around like a mad woman that she did!! Take comfort in knowing you did every-thing you possible could and that molly did not suffer a single second, and she can now go off and do everything stress free, never see a Vet again, all the while watching over her family that she loves very much. Although she is no longer a part of the household, Molly will always be a cherished member of your family. Over her decade of life she shared so much fun, games and quiet cuddles with you all, leaving you with amazing memories that you have stored away in a scared place in your hearts ensuring she never leaves you completly, take care....Kind regards...(My fantastic vet)

the tears have fallen whilst typing this, but i find that its great to have this forum to release my sorrow too. I know that everyone "understands", but in the real world we are told... "its just a dog"...

thankyou to the creater of this forum, for enabling me to express my ups and downs with the sad passing of our Molly Girl......

We all have our good and bad days..... as you can tell, todays not a good one...I cant believe how much i miss her... xxx
