27"? That's teeny. How tall are you? Send me the bits you cut off so I can sew them on mine. I can never get any long enough. But I do have heaps of 3/4 slacks now.

I'm about 5ft and a fag end lol, I just have short legs and short arms, stupidly tiny wrists too, I buy 3/4 as full lengths sometimes

Awww - Barney says thanks to everyone for their nice comments. So far, his legs have taken him every place he wants to go. And, he doesn't even have to bend them in order to get under the lounge!

I never thought of him having a long tail, but I have heard the "look how big his head is" thing from the neighbors!

Yes, that is the house. The driveway extends about 335 meters, and then past the tree line opens up and the road is to the left. Here is a video of the entire property I did for my blog; it is a bit long, but if you are interested in seeing what it all looks like, it offers a nice perspective. Yesterday, Barney warned us about a bear yesterday morning (from his strategic position snoozing on the lounge, but we didn't get outside with the camera quick enough to catch a picture). If you make it to the end of the video, you will get to see the muddy bear paw prints on the outside of the house just below the kitchen window!

No doubt - I'm going to start my husband on recall training very soon. If he doesn't respond, I shall stuff him into Barney's crate! (Barney doesn't use it anyway - he sleeps in bed with me!)

Carlsberg, Stella Artois and Fosters, among others, do an excellent range of "liquid man-treats" try offering him some of those. Reward-based training is much more effective that the leg-crossing method. Worked a dream on me anyway - just ask GF. I don't pee on the carpets now or anything.

Aww - P3, it sounds like you've made fab progress! My OH stopped peeing on the carpet when I reminded him that the most effective treatment for marking in the house was castration!
