Cassie did this a couple of times when she was a puppy, I found clearing it up straight away and a firm no it she was about to eat it worked, also it has been suggested that if you put pinapple in their food this stops them doing it

the best thing to do is figure out WHY she's doing it... have you ever scolded her for doing it in the house? Could she be lacking something in her diet? (sorry to ask but) is the garden kept very clean?
Those are the usual reasons for coprophagia (eating poo) and if you dont stop it now it can turn into a life long habit!
Another one to try is sprinkling chilli or something nasty on her poo to put her off! Alternatively you'll just have to make sure the area is ALWAYS clean so she doesnt have the opportunity to eat it winking

your dogs were stabbed in your yard?!!?!

As for scolding, i count shouting as scolding, so it may be why she does it... she poo's in the house, she knows that poo + you = getting shouted at, unpleasant experience, her answer; get rid of the evidence!

Molly did exactly the same when she was younger - picking it up quickly worked for a while and then she seemed to think it was a speed competition - who could get to it quicker, me or her.....
Luckily she seemed to grow out of it, it didn't last too long, maybe a couple of weeks or so

OMG Rocco was a poo eater too - so I sympathise with you

I have heard pineapple does work - we used banana and it did stop Rocco although it took a few days.

Sometimes (there are many reasons) they are lacking a nutrient in their diet and eat their poo to compensate.

I would try the pineapple / banana give it a few days and see how it goes.

Rocco was a fast little bugger - I used to go out with him whilst he pooped but he would just turn and eat it

Thankfully bananas worked for us xx

That's exactly the same as Molly!!! You needs fast reflexes to get there first!!!!!

We tired Pineapple but she wouldn't eat it - banana sounds like a good idea

Haha - I wouldn't mind I used to stand right behind him - it was like he had 2 heads he was that quick -

Rocco wouldn't eat the pineaple either but he liked banana and it only took 4 days and he just stopped - he used to look at it but it gave me time to scoop it up before he did.

Hope this works for you too xx

Ruby used to do this when younger, it's the protein (apparently) that has passed through her body quickly so they eat it as a snack. I just used to say "leave it" and clean it up before she could think about it too long and yes you have to be quick and on the ball. She's 14 months now and doesn't do it any more (except for horse and sheep poo!)

i read this story , im sos os sorry for you , i cant imagine what you went threw,

as for the situatuion of the poo , do you have a pets@home near you ? they sell a product its a set of tablets you put in with the dogs food and it will stop them eating their own poo, worked with max,
