Gentle Leader
I have been using a gentle leader on Reuben for the last couple of weeks along with a secondary lead on his harness. I have been told that I should use both leads at all times, does anyone know if this is correct?
I am still using both as he still tries to rub the leader off at every bush he finds so for now it is extra security should he get it off, however once he is used to the leader should I continue with both?

Re: Gentle Leader
They advise it to start off with, but once the dog is used to walking on it I do not see the need to have to use the other lead.
I have tried all sorts over the years with my collies etc and now these two and I have settled for the canny collar.

Re: Gentle Leader
I also used 2 for the first couple of weeks but then dropped it to the one on the leader itself once she was used to it.

Re: Gentle Leader
Clip your lead to both the Gentle Leader AND his collar, that way even if he does pull it off he won't escape, plus you only need one lead then
