Showing your dogs
Does anyone on this forum show their dog/s?
All 6 of ours have been or are currently being campaigned in the ring. Just wondered if anyone else on here does.

Re: Showing your dogs
My Staffy is about 10 years old and has been used as a breeding machine but she isn't good enough to show so whoever used her as a breeding machine was breeding from a bitch that wasn't up to standard and I bet the dog wasn't either.

Hi Lel,
What a dummy!!! I completely missed that she was also 1st in puppy class, so another special well done to you.
The young dog that got BPIS is the one that I recently mated our Topsy with, so fingers crossed we'll have a beautiful litter of pups in March. Are you going to Crufts this year?
regards
Loll

Re: Showing your dogs
I show mine, although not very regurarly, a couple of times a year. We both prefer other activities, so showing comes in second to everything else, but when we have the time and I feel like it, it happens.
He is quite a looker, according to most people, but ofcourse not all judges think so... He's gotten one certificate (if you call them that(?)) but time will have to tell if he will get more of those... It would be nice to have a champion.

Ofcourse it dont! He is my champ anyways, I just said it would be fun.
My dogs are my best friends, no matter what they do or how much (or little...) we achieve in life, they will always be.

Re: Showing your dogs
the standard is listed on staffords.co.uk
so long as the dog/bitch is kc registered then any can be shown-
just get pup along to a handling class where they will teach you how to talk and stand the dog for the ring
good luck if you try it
