I don't think the story is true in any way. The sun love to make up these story's to make out the breed are bad. How can a staff drag a full grown man and pull him around like a rag doll. Maybe a child but not a 14 to 20 stone man, if that what he is. And then kicking the dog. Well the dog would let go. I don't no about this, I think some people love to make these bloody story's up. I would say a rockwiler maybe would do this but not a staff. They are to small to do this.

I agree with you absolutely P3n. On the other hand, there could be a grain of truth in it - in that some drug riddled couple stabbed their dog, were found out and had to come up with a story!

I think what's important to bear in mind is that, accepting for sake of argument that someone stabbed a dog (I'd still need more proof than a sun report) A dog of any breed is highly unlikely to attack an owner. Okay theres a small percentage of brain damaged or whateve else animals out there but, rather than the headline saying "staffy attacks owner" or whatever a more appropriate tagline might have been "retard gets what he deserves"

"Staffy eats owners drugs stash, believes everyone is against him, they really are all against him, and reacts by eating what he believes to be the bear chasing him".

hmmm weird story my theory is this should belong in the sport .....the couple mary and andrew liked it rough ,mary got carried away and having forgotton to set the ground rules and decide on a safe word mary thought andrews screems of no actually meant yes yes yes u watch the bite marks wont be a dogs at all ....... this story isnt right ,it just concentrates on what the dog did blah blah there is no info as to what the mans injuries are or anything very strange if u ask me .xxxx

It p****s me off too i was reading on another staffie site that a woman was walking her 12 month old staffie jess and some scumbag t**t came in the park with his japanese akita and his husky off the lead and they went straight over to the woman and her dog and started attacking her dog and started on her when she tried to stop them and the scummy owner done nothing when the dogs stopped he ran off and his dogs followed so the woman took her dog to the vets where she later died
why wasnt this in the newspaper thats what p****s me off and i dont care what anyone says its the way a dog is brought up

I was reading on a site a couple of weeks ago some d**k head dog trainer was saying he thinks staffies are vicous because of the pain threshold,their lock jaw and because their beefy that p****d me off classing the breed as vicious just because of what they are capable of i mean would we say bruce lee was vicious or ricky hatton is just because they could cause mega damage no we wouldnt
i think staffies are always gonna be classed as dangerous dogs to idiots that have never owned one i'm just thankful for this beautiful and loyal breed

I just wanted to give my 2 cents worth. I don't buy this story either or they aren't giving the reason why this dog attacked. I have been around this breed for most of my life and i know that as long as they are treated right they would never attack a human unless it was threatening their people or if they were abused by the person it attacked. i bet the jerk was teasing the dog if it happened at all. I do want to say that if it did happen yes a stafford could most certainly pull a man around easy, they pull much, much more weight in weight pull meets. But as the press likes to do especially with SBT and similar breeds they love to demonize them and ALWAYS omit the reason why the dog attacked or the story behind it. You know there ws something wrong w/ this one because they never called it a family dog as they like to say or it just attacked for no reason, they left that stuff out. I left a long post on the sun site, but they haven't put it up yet, I'm not holding my breath. I guess my main point here is this breed is know as the Nanny dog or nurse maid for good reason and it takes a lot of abuse to over come that instinct that is bread in for over 200 years any SBT that was human aggressive was culled and removed from the gene pool it sounds terrible, but we have a wonderful, even, reliable tempored breed because of it. Sorry, that was more like 25 cents worth, I tend to get carried away.

just want to add that this is purely a case of if it bleeds it leads mentality used to sell papers. You put Stafford attacks and there you go sell out all your papers. I suggest even if you need to know don't buy these papers and boycott the ones like the Sun that routinely pull this kinda stunt. That will show them.

Easier said than done. Most of this country requires the Sun and others of it's ilk in order to tell them what to think and when to think it. For example - without it the whole political system would descend into chaos or (even scarier) democracy as people would be forced to make an informed or (more likely) random decision in the polling booths.

mmmm considering my lil boy is scared of wind the dark and cats makes me wonder what the man had done to him or even his partner for the dog to turn like that the words billy and bull*hit come to mind
