"TYPE" GRRRRRRRRRRRRR it really does my nut in when they say type it's staffie or not, i think the gov should ban the news, it's clear they dont really know what they doing

I totally agree steve, it makes me angry, dont want our staffies banned! Let them try! I see next to article there is talk of banning rotties too! Something needs to be done to stop the irresponsible owning these dogs, maybe chipped and registered from ownership, if they raise them the wrong way and they harm people give them a stiff jail(yeah right ) sentence and a ban of all animals for life. After all some breeds trained the wrong way is like having a loaded gun which IMO is equal to manslaughter. Jail them for the same term, and if they set the dog on someone then it should be attempted murder/murder. Also change the age of registered ownership to 21yrs. A body would need to moniter this but i dont think our goverment would be interested. Theyd rather just ban and that dont work either! I really dont see a solution sadly. The press just rub salt in the wounds.

I agree 100% they have to do that over here also but i don't think the government here is any different than anywhere els

Same steve, the whole "type" thing is stupid. If they are unsure what it is why dont they just say crossbreed dog rather than labelling everything that attacks as a staffy type or a pitbull type

Next it will be a poodle that mauls a child and it will be labelled as a staffy cross
