Terrier puppy shot dead by gunman
A puppy was shot dead in front of its owner outside a house in Merseyside.
The seven-month-old Staffordshire bull terrier was hit as shots were fired towards the man on Langton Road, Kirkby, on Tuesday night.
Merseyside Police said the owner was uninjured in the attack. The area was examined by forensic officers.
Police believe the address may have been targeted and are investigating the possibility the shooting was linked to an earlier dispute in the area.
Uniformed officers were carrying out house to house inquiries in the area. The house remained sealed off on Wednesday.
