BBC Breakfast news - increase in dog fighting - email.

Dear Sirs,

I have just watched your article involving the
increase in dog fighting. I would like to say a huge thank you to the
RSPCA representative who when asked about the DDA replied it needs
changing to affect the owners.

I am definitely not what you would consider a typical Staffy owner.
I own 4 dogs a West Highland Terrier and 3 Staffys. They live in
perfect harmony with 4 children, a cat, 2 rabbits and 5 guinea pigs.
The Stafford is a wonderful breed and in the hands of the right owner
will provide nothing but love and loyalty. The idiots who encourage
them to fight rely on the Staffords devotion to its owner to train it
to fight. There will no doubt be the usual witch hunt over the next few
days after this article where people call for the Stafford to be
banned. Can I suggest that before people form an opinion if they don't
know a Stafford - go and meet one. Go and see a real life situation
involving a real life Stafford in a family situation where they are
loved and tell me you could find a better family dog.

Don't all jump on the bandwagon of ban the Staffy, lets penalise the bad owners who teach them to behave like this.

They had all the staffs locked up on cages and the RSPCA rep said that the new trend is to lock the 2 dogs in a lift at the top of a high rise and then send the lift to the bottom and see what happens.

Sick bastards, lock them in a lift with me for 15 floors and we'll see what happens by the bottom!

That is just horrendous. I truly can't comprehend that people still enjoy such a thing.

I wish that they would just do it with each other, and leave creatures without the option to participate or not out of it.

Did you see the double rows of cages of Staffs, there was one same colouring as Ralph and they kept zooming in him, maybe expecting him to bark or attack or something similar, and he just sat there shaking looking really depressed

Easy, they have a penchant for blood and violence but don't have the balls to fight other humans in combat. The Human race is full of beings exactly like I've described.
