MOLLYS HEAD HAS SWELLED UP!!

got this minuite got up and mollys head has swelled up to double its size she cant even open her eyes it has got to be a reaction from all the meds from yesterday! just phoned the vets we are taking her to see the emergency vet now! my poor baby the oh has just gone to get the car out the garage for me then hes goner stay here with all girls while i rush up there dont want to panic u all just wanted to let you know and ill get back on here asap kelly.x

ok iam back she has had a severe allergic reaction to one of the injections she had yesterday they dont know which one either the anti sickness or the antibiotic or why? it took nearly 24 hours for her to react to them?
she has a temperature of 40c so they have given her another injection to bring the swelling and her temperature down they was going to admit her in to keep an eye on her but shes so stressed out and wet herself they suggested taking her home and to keep a close eye on her and to go take her back at 4pm so they can retake her temperature and look at her again and then maybe take some bloods? i think i can offically say this last couple of months have been the worst we,ve had in along time

this happend to marlon , one morning i woke up and his head was twice the size , took him straight down to the vets and they gave him a anti imflammatory injection cant rememeber if he had anything else, but the next day he was back to his normal self

hi all iam glad to report her head is now back to normal size thank god! ive never seen anything like it if you can imagine a staffie body with a head of a great dame it was horrendos! her temp has gone down aswell so hopefully after tonight i wont have to make any more visits to the vets . when they are both better they need feeding up as they have both lost weight this week with all the diahorria and sickness anyone suggest something good to give to them?

i know! it feels like my second home up there at the moment the vet couldnt belive it when i phoned this morning about molly they didnt charge me a penny this morning which is a good thing.

Glad she's better. Give them more carbs (pasta, rice), cream cheese, raw eggs, with their normal food to speed up weight gain. You can also switch them back to puppy food for a while - usually works a charm.

hi all i think they are starting to recover now they still dont have much of an appetite but who does when you have done nothing but be sick for 4 days! fingers crossed no more trips to the vets.

hi suzie they are good thanks no more poo splattered everywhere and they are eating more now aswell they have had a huge! dinner tonight with extra kibble and pasta mixed in they had a nice wallk ealier aswell and are getting ready to snuggle up to watch the x factor with me tonight.
