Keano - Not Eating or Drinking
Keano - Not Eating or Drinking
Hi All
Keano was nuetered last week and has been doing really well until yesterday when he stopped eating and today he is refusing water. The wife says he has been eating grass and has been sick a little bit this morning. Any ideas - his wound is clean and doesnt look infected. It has been pretty hot the last couple of days and I am putting it down to the heat. I hope I am right or its back to the vet tomorrow.

I give them 24 hours and if no better, take them to the vet.
I hope Keano makes a quick recovery.

Re: Keano - Not Eating or Drinking
Unusual as dogs usually drink more in the heat
I'd pone the vets and ask his advice to be honest. Hope all is well, let us know how he is getting on

Might be late onset of trauma, might of went to lick his bits and they where gone? my 2 old Staffies used to eat grass and bring it back up with bile when they where a little poorly sometimes, seemed to perk them up a little, but as im not a vet i do think some professional advice would be needed.

Im sure Keano will be fine...but like everyone else has said if he doesnt eat or drink for 24 hours just ring the vet as see what they say.
Let us know how you go.

Keano seems to be better after a good sh!t and when examined contained bits of his play rope

Re: Keano - Not Eating or Drinking
bless him!! Good to hear his all better. When we went away for 2 weeks on holiday friends of ours looked after Tyson...and they had alot of bark in their backyard. When we got him back the first night he vomited so much bark and for the next 2 days he was only sh*ting bark
Called the vet to make sure that nothing bad can happen and the vet said he'll be fine!!
