diarohha/squits

oscar has it bad i dont know if its a side affect of the GA from the other day. but its really bad we woke up this morning to it splattered all around the kitchen floor is it 24 hours without food i cant remember he seems ok and is drinking he hasnt had anything like this before.

cant belive it just when he was feeling better. now this its like 2 steps forward and then three back hes been sick now aswell and caught him just laying down on the mud in the garden i dont wanna have to go to the vets again

Poor Oscar, you could starve him for 24 hours but does he not need food to take his meds? Try boiled rice with chicken in small amounts frequently.

And maybe ring the vets for peace of mind?

poor oscar, i would def ring the vets for advice, nancy didnt have diaorrhea after her GA, was just sleepy, as they are, ring vet staffie2 for advice. let us know how he is later. good luck.

yes he does need food to take his medication poor thing was ok last night i going to ring the vets and see what they say do i need to keep molly away from him just in case its a doggy bug i dont want her to catch it?

It may be, Stafofma has 2 dogs and one had it first and then passed it on to his other dog, but it may also be a side effect of his new meds, I think it would be better to check tbh.

it could be, but i bet they have already been together today and last night anyway? but keep them apart for the time being until you speak tovet, see what vet says, let us know.

just been on the phone to the vet she said to starve him for 24 hours from when he was last sick and to keep a close eye on him she said not to give him his medication either and if hes still not ok by tommorow then to take him to see her. unless he becomes unresponsive or not drinking then to take him up there straight away she said i can try and keep molly away from him for the time being. poor thing has really had a **** month thanks everyone ill let you know how he is in a bit.x

as i type the oh is going over the rug in the living room with the rug doctor machine as we coulndnt quite get oscar to the kitchen in time and it just came out bum like water hes now confinded to the kitchen hes not goner be happy about getting no food but needs must. i just hope hes better tommorow.

Mix in some boiled brown rice with his dinner kel, it really does help to settle their tummy. Hope he keeps his dinner down. Fingers crossed for him.

cheers guys and girls ive given him some rice and a small amount of chicken hes kept it down and is alot perkier i think he just had a doggy bug as he is alot better compared to yesterday.

so molly now has diarohha aswell she hasnt been sick but her poor little bum is all sore from pooing so much! oscar seems to be over the worst of it and has kept down the rice and chicken but his poo is still quite runny i dont know how long it should take to return back to soild poo? my poor dogs its bad enough having one poorly dog let alone both of them at the same time! all we have done is clear up poo, sick and wee since sunday when is it goner end!
