PERO !

Staffordshire Bull Terrier food , any good ?

I know some on here are using it or have tried it , so please relay your thoughts on this dog food .

Why / What makes it a food for S.B.T. ? , what sustains these claims ?

Mine are on it and doing really well I have all 3 staffs on it.

Bag says:-

For excellence in body and muscle condition.
Glucosamine and chondroitin for joint care, l-carnitine for fat burning and muscle definition, dental care, wheat and wheat gluten free, hypoallergenic Vitamin E to support immune system

Ingredients

Fresh british chicken 26%, maize 26% oats, beet pulp, refined chicken fat linseed brewers yeast, minerals, fish oil glucosamine chondroitin vitamins lcarnitine.

Brody aged 15 months has just started on the Pero SBT food this last weekend so it's early days yet to see any benefits apart from as he had turned into a picky eater he is eating ALL this food at the moment.

Mine go mental for it every time and have never left a meal and Lola is very choosy over what she eats. I just ordered sack number 2 (and 3) as we get through 900g a day so the bag lasts 13 days ish.

Watts - Do they do small bags of this or just the 15kg ones? (servere lack of storage space!)

No they do a smaller bag tahst about £5 in money inc delivery not sure of the weight though, bag is 12 kg so its worth £20 I don't have huge amounts of space either I put a board on top of the dog cages and keep the food there lol.

Yeah I just stopped being lazy and had a look, they are doing a 2.5kg for £5 but it's just a trial offer. Might have to buy a new house to fit the dog food in?!

I know its a pain but at 2.5kg I'd have to go and fetch food daily!

Guess that's one benefit of only have one although I'd willingly sacrifice that one to have more!

Not at the moment unfortunatley, one bed flat, no garden - don't think it would be fair on 2 puppies! Sorry for being very off topic!

Lola especially looks fantastic Monty, she's always carried a bit of extra weight that we couldn't shift no matter what we did and she is looking very sleek today I really can't rate it highly enough and will be continuing to use it!

That is cheap. I pay $70 (40 pounds) for 8 kg of dog food!

i may just very well try out this food as i like the idea of it having the glaucosamine and the condroitin in

my 2.5kg bag has just been delivered so will try slev on that this evening! hope he likes it!

World record here mine have eaten it consistantly (sp?) since we had it no missed meals, no messing about!

Where can i get this from? If its this good ill swap for this from wainwrights!

just google Pero, but the sbt specific food only comes in adult, they do a puppy food which is also organic etc but its not sbt specific (although in fairness neither is wainwrights lol)

What would you suggest stick with wainwrights until he his adult or go for Pero organic non specific?

You have to weigh up the pros and cons I suppose go and look at the pero puppy food and see what you think, its delivered to the door free so you wouldn't have to go anywhere and fetch it and they do some soret of trial offer thing where you get free organic treats with it. Vader is on the adult at 6 months as he has been neutered so depending on whether your vet adviises the same as mine and if your having him neutered he could be on the pero sbt soon...

Having made up my mind on getting him neutered. Ill have a look at the pro's and cons of both and see what i think fits the bill.

its about the food matt its not a hijack

slev's being neutered this friday and i tried it on him this evening and we had a clean bowl

its weird isn't it, mine are like that!

Patch always leaves a clean bowl and will often ask for more lol. He will spend a few minutes licking his bowl afterwards also.

Sorry I know this is a few days old but have just got the trial bag to try with Valentino, but didn't think about the puppy food !!! he is 11 months now is it ok to feed adult food. Sorry if this sounds daft

It doesnt sound daft at all, IMHO I would say as he is 11months old he will be fine on the adult food

Vader has the adult food and he is fine with it.

at what age could buddy go onto it? also as i have a jrt too is there someting around for terrier types other than one bag for buddy one bag for busta?

This company IMO give an EXCELLENT service i ordered the puppy trial size bag last month on a Wednesday and it arrived the next day and it's FREE delivery.Poppy LOVES it and has almost finished the bag so i've just ordered some more Poppy and Brody loved the organic treats which came free with the trial size bag too.

I am so tempted to give this a try for cassie instead of burns, I think I will send for the trial bag

It's worth a try Allie as it's only £5 which isn't bad.

my dogs have been on this over 3 weeks and they seem fine on it, good coat, firm poo,s, no wind next day delivery !! bonus
