Why did you choose particularly staffie for your dog?
First topic message reminder :
I'm interested why people here chose staffy for they dog. They're sooo lovely and gorgeous
, of course, but in detail, what fascinates you in staffy?

There isn't anything I can add to the above. Just to say I think I'm priviledged (can't bloody well spell it!) to be in such good company and to know such fine dogs

Re: Why did you choose particularly staffie for your dog?
We ended up with a staffy whilst working at the RSPCA he was there just waiting to be snapped up so we reserved him. I had always wanted one after living a couple of doors down from two of them(was the local Hairdreser in Kingsbury). The wife also fell in love with them. Apart from escaping the yard a few times and then devolping a storm phobia he has been a perfect friend for 10 yrs he now lives with the Mother in law as he couldn't get on with the new pup we bought for the kids to grow up with. Faced with this problem it was great sadness we let him go live with her. He has adapted to life with her and has become a great companion for her and gives her a sense of security also i'm so proud of him, but miss him dearly
. At least i get to see him when we visit.

Bully's are a beautiful breed Wendy.
I met another one a few mths ago named "spock" (blk & wht) what a gorgeous boy! Fab with the kids & about as laid back as any dog comes. (Cept when he hears a strange noise then, he's off!) They are so loving, loyal & thrive on the love of their owners just as a staff does.
They are a top dog IMO!

lol, they are trace, i hate it when some people ask if you have a dog, and then what is it, soon as you say bull terrier, its like omg what! i absolutely adore them, and at the end of the day, its how you bring them up yourself.

Re: Why did you choose particularly staffie for your dog?
I didn't exactly choose my first Stafford, I saved a litter for a neighbor the bitch wouldn't let the pups suckle I managed to coax her into letting most of the litter feed. The one pup she wouldn't feed well he ended up coming home with me and I hand raised him and took him everywhere with me even to the bloody nightclub I was doorman for.
Had Bruiser for 18months before someone stole him from out of my cousins yard while I was away, by that time I was hooked on the breed and have had Staffords ever since. That was over 20 years ago.

Re: Why did you choose particularly staffie for your dog?
My brother had a staffie called Spit, he was the best dog ever, such a character, so full of life and just so much fun to be with. When he died 6 years ago. we were absolutly devestated.
I had thought about getting a dog, my hubby wasn't keen on getting a staffie. The whole thing was put on hold.
When we got home from holiday recently i put my foot down and decided we were gettting a dog and it was going to be a staffie!
So here we have the most beautiful little man (barney). Guess wot? Hubby thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread!
Out of all the breeds we have had in the past I have to say the staffie is the best!
