I house train the normal way, take outsid when they wake up, before and after being fed, and with pups, every 30 to 45 minutes in between. have to take them out so I can see if they have done something then I can give lots of praise.

I don't like paper training because you have to re-train them to go outside.

The bigger the dog the longer it takes for them to mature, your Staffy would have had the bladder control a lot earlier than your Rottie. Bit like babies, they can't be clean and dry until their bladder has developed enough.

When you have been trying to train them for a few weeks, we sometimes are not as consistant because of the time it is taking, have a good look at this, you may find that you are letting things slip a bit. Been there myself Big grin

If you want to stop her pissing you will have to stop making a fuss as soon as you walk in. The length of time to take your coat of will be enough and it is also good manners on your dog's part to wait until your coat is off. laughing

You could always get yourself another 2 or 3 dogs, you will have to wait until your coat is off them Big grin

We used crate and then scheduled training in the garden for both of ours - very pleased with the results too - seemed to learn very quick indeed Smile

We paper trined molly as that was what everyone suggested when we got her, but when we had Jack we gave the paper a miss as it took ages to retrain molly to go outside - Jacks house training was much quicker as we just let him out on a much more regular basis - he's had much fewer accidents than Molly used to
