dog licence

shode they bring back dog licence,s....
i for one dont mind the idea,
as it might help to stop peeps taken dogs they dont really wont for life...

made this a poll just to see wot otheir members think...

It would be good, if it would actually work.. but people that want a dog will just go out and get it anyway, license or not

i'm not sure about a license i wouldn't want to be paying silly fees to own a dog, dint we have it before and no1 pay for it that why the gov got rid.

Yes they should bring it back,but would it make any difference NO,most people wouldn't pay

Edited to add,if the licence was brought back some should go towards rescue centers,it would help them out alot.

i think the fee oto be a fair amount not much but not so low that its a penny fair....
i know we have it be 4,and i know trying to polise it is some thing els... but surely we have to try some thing to stop inaprpret peeps haven dogs....

We have it over in Ireland here its only 12euro, ive been meaning to get licences for my to but ive been lazy, and like amanda says put even a % of the cost of it towards rescue centers and similar things would be a really good idea

well if it went to a rescue center thant i would be more than happy to pay for a licence

The licence fee when we had it years ago was only 7 shillings and 6 pence pre decimal currency - equivalent of 37.5 pence in todays money. It was discontinued as it was impossible to police. I think no matter how much the licence would be today, the same problems in policing would still be there.
Good idea though and I'd willing pay whatever they set the fee at if I was sure it would help protect true SBTs against the BSL/DDA.
