Do your dog(s) 'favour' a particular member of the family?

Post by staffylover70 on Sun 14 Jun 2009, 18:45

Do your dog(s) tend to favour any member of the family? For example if I leave the room I can guarantee that Reuben will definately be behind me, Chloe is occasionally behind me. If I go to the loo I tend to have two companions and if I go out to the car it is as though Reuben has not seem me all day.
If I get on the settee they both get on with me within 5 minutes and get as close as possible
On the other hand when my OH leaves the room they do not bat an eyelid!

Funny question this...

I never leave Harley, he's with me pretty much 24/7. But he adores my Dad and won't leave his side even when I call him. I'd say he favours my Dad more than me but other people say he dotes on me.

It's a bit hard to say with Indy. Initially I'd say myself but I feed her and give her the most hugs and kisses when we're home. She sleeps on my side of the bed at my feet if I'm having a lazy Sunday morning and watches me get dressed in the mornings. When we're both there it's pretty much whoever is giving her the attention.
