At what age did you got your first own dog?

I got mine when I was 33 years old and this one is Shoei. I'm raised with dogs and we always have several dogs in the kennel, but they are my husband's.

Hi Shoei I got my first adult dog a staffy, black/brindle/white bib and toes called Ninja when i was 24yrs old, i lost him 3yrs 26th may 05 still miss him loads

i would say i was about 23 when i got my first dog cleo an english bull terrier
2nd a staffy called pippa
3rd a staffy called busta
4th and present jazz
also had two dalmations while i lived with my parents until i left home

i was 24 wen i got my gog. but my dad always had dogs

When i was 21, he was a ten year old rescued fox hound cross called Lenny and i had him for another wonderful ten years.

19, But they were my partners dogs already and so that was when i helped out with them full time, Ive never had my own puppy though yet

iv growing up round dogs most of my life,but now have my own,i was 23ish when i got my two,but kind of pland on get two or three sbt,for about 2years.....
then the two of them come up and the rest is history.....

Well i got a dog when i was 16 but i never really had to look after him cause i was too busy going out and so he was more my parents dog and now lives with them full time. So i would say Tyson is my first dog and i got him last year at the age of 25.

I got Molly just two weeks before my 30th Birthday.
I too grew up with dogs and cats too, but Molly was my first girl. Miss her heaps xxx

Got Sable last year just before I was 22

We had dogs from when I was a baby, but Millie is my first in my own home. Got her last year, aged 30 (me, not Millie )

I was 24 when i got my first dog, my mother would never let me get a dog but when i bought my house i got sofie about 2 months after i moved in

26! my mum bought me jack when i moved out in to my own place and to be honest i would never of picked a staffy but now i know the breed i wouldnt swap him for any thing

well possibly a lie in but its no fun anymore waking up with out staffy snog!

I got my first staffy three years ago, when I was 20, and thats Perrin. But Ida (my mini schnauzer) has also always been my dog, and she is 10 now, so I was 13 when she arrived in the family. But ofcourse, then I lived at home, so I didnt have the full responsibility for her.
We've always had dogs in my family, at least one, well no, there was a gap of about 6 long awful months after we lost our first mini schnauzer until we got home our now oldest one. But both before and since then we've had dogs.

i got my 1st dog when i was 5!!! my dad used have raceing greyhounds and me and my two sisters were all allowed to keep a pup each from our dogs litter, we were responsible for everything for the dog including walking,feeding, even running around a field with a rag on a string.
i still have the vhs videos of my dog when she started raceing and was there every time with her. sadly she died aged 12 which was just before i moved into my own home, since then its been staffies all the way
i even converted my dad.... he had just moved into a house on his own and seemed like he needed some company so i turn up with bimmer aka brindle staff(my dad didnt like bullbreeds so didnt tell him)..lol
anyway to cut along story short dad noticed it was a staff and doted on him and advised everyone that staffs made great pets(id been telling him that for years.. )
