Re: Staffy bull terrier rescue
Rochdale Dog Rescue, http://www.rochdale-dog-rescue.com/urgentdogs.html have been over run with Staffies and Staffy crosses this year but have managed to save everyone but that looks like it could change any day now. They find rescue places for the dogs in the pound but if no rescue can take them, they have 5 kennels at a boarding kennels who let them have dogs there for £4 a night. At the moment they have 9 dogs in these kennels and are running out of money fast.
One Staffy, Kyra, has been in the holding kennels since June but thankfully she is going to a rescue on Tuesday. Apart from being a Staffy, Krya is also deaf.
They don't rehome any dog coming out of the pound but will rehome the dogs that are in the boarding kennels because they will have been assessed.
If you know of a rescue who neuters, vaccinates, microchips, homechecks and assesses the dogs, please can you either let RDR or myself know.
I have a RDR Staffy who came as a foster dog to recouperate after an operation but the wrong people wanted her so she is staying with me. She is the perfect dog, I don't know I have her and is good with people and dogs.

Northern SBT Rescue. http://www.sbtrescue.org.uk/ We got Paddy from them 5 weeks ago. They give you great advice and support. We lost Bully our old Staff 4/1/08 age 14 and after speaking to members of their site and a phone call to Bob who runs the setup we decided we would like to re-home a rescue Staff. Hence, Paddy He is a star and although he will not bring Bully back we see so many of the things he used to do in Paddy and a few of his own. He is a more than welcome addition to our house.

Re: Staffy bull terrier rescue
I know this is probably a really silly question considering there are not many people from Australia on this forum...but im also looking for a staffy rescue place in Melbourne and cant find one on the net.

Re: Staffy bull terrier rescue
I know this is an old thread but I'm a new member and have just found it.
Here's the web address of the kennels where I found Jocky. (It's a boarding kennel with a rescue section attached.) It has all kinds of breeds but, as with most rescue kennels now, it has a great many Staffies and Staffy crosses.
As it is quite a small kennel that does its best to rescue dogs on death row it needs all the help it can get. They are lovely people!
