6 Staffies on death Row of a pound !!

Jeez 6 poor Staffies needing urgent homes in the RSPCA UK

Cant understand the one thats chipped and the owners refused to take him back ? only 3year old and a beautiful looking dog!

Not 100% sure but dont these fellas have only days or so to be homed before R.I.P ??

Thats really sad How anyone could abandon these beautiful dogs is beyond me. In Melbourne there are hardly any staffies in rescues (as far i know)...and thank god for that!!

Unfortunatly here in Ireland and the UK its getting to be an all too familiar sight.

Would you believe that in just tonight Iv found 26 staffie dogs in Ireland and 47 in the UK all looking for homes on the net from rescues and org's around the country

imagine that number and throw in the mixed breed and other dogs and it shows that life is very grim for a lot of our best friends out there. Very sad

That used to be true here years ago Esther but with the popularity of the breed, its supply and demand at the moment sadly.
The more you advise some people not to breed, the more they become determined to, as we witnessed lately

Yes i can Anto and Cara and its a disgusting state of affairs
I feel terrible for them all.
But what can we do to address the situation?
I've thought long and hard on the situation and still can't come up with a solution, i wish i could for their sakes

trouble is the rspca wont rehome them with young children i remember my m8 was going to take a pup from the rspca and they refused because his wife was pregnant anyhow i want the brindle dog hes a cracker looks like hes got ebt blood in there either a first or 2 gen cross

thats one of the reasons we didnt go to the dg home becouse they wont rehome a bull type to families with younge children, think its disgrasfull really, they should be evaluated on there temprement NOT there breed,

I agree Ceasergirl, after all a staffies reknowned for their love of children, how stupid and uneducated

Rochdale is one of the few pounds who don't put Staffies down after their 7 days are up but unless they can find rescues to take them or homes for those in kennels, they will have to stop pts some of them because they can't cope with the numbers.

My little girl Ellie is from there, I took her in when there wasn't anywhere for her to go but I now have 6 dogs and can't cope with any more or I would have another.

they have had 15 staffs in to them in the last 2 weeks it is where we got our last dog busta from

this was my first line of enquiry when looking for a dog,but because I have a 3 yr old they wouldnt consider me,so I bought a puppy knowing that so many staffies need a good home.just take a look on gumtree,staffs ranging from pups to grown,looking for new homes because the owners are having a baby or some other fickle excuse..makes me so mad I posted up a ad to tell them how disgusted they make me,it got deleted very quickly,hmmm must have struck a raw nerve.
I did try & get a dog that needed rehoming from gumtree but the owner was a rude & wanted me to travel to kent at 11.30pm to get him after sending her one email,others just wasted my time.
some guy was selling puppies & the 9 month old father(!)...how sick

poor staffies,so loving they just dont deserve it.
