pyometra

just had my staffy back from the vet as she had pyometra!!! not a nice thing for any dog to go through and i think its going to be while till she gets 100%. has anyone been through this with their dog? ifeel so sorry for her!

sad sorry to hear about that paul i just read about it doesn't sound nice at all, i hope she get better soon

thankyou.i am completly gutted as she has had to have her complete womb taken out!! as bad as she is she is still tying to be playfull with my 2 year old boy!amazing!

Lots of healing thoughts on the way for her to help her recover.

Pyrometra is extremely dangerous in bitches, many never recover which is to me, the main reason I would have a bitch spayed. Even bitches that are for breeding, need to be spayed after they have finished having pups.

yeah i know what you mean.i never even had a litter out of her. she seems to be perking up but i think it will be a while for her to be 100%.
