Eggs are an excellent source of protein, an egg once or twice a week is a great supplement.
Eggs contain:
Vitamin E
Numerous B vitamins
Vitamin A (yolk)
Calcium
Lecithin
Choline
Magnesium
Phosphorus
Selenium
I would not feed raw eggs (salmonella) but boil them for 3-5 minutes. Try not to overcook them as excessive cooking destroys nutrients. If the yolk has a green ring surrounding it, the amino acids have been destroyed.
For shinier coat and help with shedding of winter coat I suggest Brewer's Yeast

Forgot to add that brown shelled eggs are are preferable to white shelled eggs as research has shown that white eggs are more prone to bacteria absorption than brown eggs

must admit sarah that I very really ever get to see white eggs anymore??
Always give ours eggs a couple of times a week but only a VARIED diet will give a shiny coat and not eggs a lone

I have always planned on keeping my own chicken but I live in fox and mink country... Even the dogs are no deterrent to the buggers

Its called pub ammo mate and i love it, also when you cook and egg you raise its BV (biological value) as chemical reactions happen within the egg. raw eggs can leed to irritable bowl syndrome (i know i smell one of the fellas from my gym as he runs past me to the toilets ha ha)

Ive heard that cider vinegar is good for the coat , both on it and added to food. The one with the apple bits in is best
and it's organic. It's also a good medicine for a whole load of things.
