Who leaves an 11 year old kid holding a Staffy outside a supermarket ffs, the parents should be blamed for this. 
The second one is just awful, I'd love to believe they won't change the DDA for the worse but with articles like that about I'm not sure

No, not really its more of a naval area with the families there, with some tourists (bearing in mind my geography isn't great and I may mean Plymouth...)

Portsmouth is full of Students and i would say its a bit chavy and is becoming an aggressive area.
I would not like to walk the streets at night.
In regards to the topic, it is a horrible thing to of happened and the child should not of been in charge of dog especialy if it shows them signs of aggression.

Terrible shame, however the 11 year old should not have been in control of that dog. I do not allow my 15yr old to walk either of my dogs.
I 'suspect' the 6 yr old ran over and fussed the dog without warning or asking, something we have been working with my niece on as she adores dogs but she is now asking every owner before she touches any dog which is very hard for her but she does now understand why.
