Bridesmaids

my brother is getting married in may , my girls are bridesmaids and my son is a page boy , well the girls went with the other bridesmaid and the bride for dresses today ...they had no idea of colour or style except she did not want the traditional looking bridesmaid dress ..she wants them to be able to wear them again at other times ..so i rang em about 3 today to see how they were getting on , Amber my oldest was all excited "we got mine but we have to order lauras and the other 2 are having a different style and colour " . "whats your colour ?" i said , her reply was "black" "black" i shreeked , i came off the phone and could not believe it why on earth black , well the other 2 are having dusty pink and then the bouquets are goona be pink and black tulips , well i cant wait to see them but black is certainly not my cup of tea , not my wedding though thank goodness

My friend recently got married and she has a black and pink theme, it does not sound very nice but it was lovely. However as it was a civil ceremony they did not have bridesmaids, not sure they would have gone for black dresses if they had though

yes that is what she has decided to do is black and pink and i have seen the dress and it looks very nice and elegant , not sure i would pick black though

Yes, apparently black is quite the thing for weddings these days (for some). I've seen a lot of black and white weddings, and black with other colors. They must have thought me arcane when I chose traditional white and the bridesmaids were dressed in aubergine with silver accents... So passe....

I can't say anything really I got married in dark red in winter in the frost twas lovely!

I love dark red for weddings Big grin

I prefur darker colours cause I sometimes look washed out in white and I suit deep reds/greens. Not so sure black though? Id save it for funerals but hey the men tend to wear black trousers/suits so why not women hey?

when i was at school my friend was a bridesmaid they had terracotta bottom halves with floral tops she looked like a giant flower pot lol x
