My boy got dandruff

Sorry if I misspelt that.

But my Joker got white "dust" in his coat.
Is there something I can do?
What does it come from?
Could it be his puppy shampoo? or is it just cold outside.

Any advice would be nice

what do you feed him? try not to wash him too often that can aggrevate the skin and when you do make sure you rinse well

It's the change of climate, food, heating in your house etc... his skin is dry and makes the flakes. Add some olive oil to his food for a start.

You can also try this or buy something similar from your vet or pet store.

As already mentioned food / weather conditions can make his coat dry & flaky - just keep an eye on it - if it continues after a few weeks with the oil - just ask your vet for their opinion as SBT can be prone to skin allergies / conditions.

Both of mine had dry skin when they were younger and when we added olive oil to their meals it got better.

Does this seem to bother Joker - is his scratching or is it something you have noticed xx

hahaha.. no, there isnt any snow here yet, but its right around the corner. Can feel it in the wind.

I'll get some olive oil for him, just add it to his dry food?

It's not getting worse, I think its gotten better.
Might be its just colder outside, and we were out in the rain the other day for walk.

but yea, they say its a sight when a dog sees the snow for the first time... But its not much snow around here really, i live in the city!
but hopefully there will be some..

Thats good news if it isn't itching - the oil should help Jokers skin

Drat - I was in mid snow dance when I saw your reply - was just about to do the flurry part of the dance - but will stop now lol

But autum is full on us.. the wind is going crazy, and its raining like crazy...
