Hello and welcome to S.O.I.N - Staffy Owners Information Network.
You have all seen the pictures of the snarling slavering "Staffy" bearing his teeth as he pulls on the end of his chain, that the media trots out every time there is an incident involving a "Staffordshire Bull Terrier Type dog". Have you ever seen your dog do that? Thought not, neither have I.
So the aim of S.O.I.N, is to stand up for our breed. The idea is that you become a member by posting your username in here, there are no membership cards, badges or fees, all you have to do is be on the lookout for any mentions of Staffys in the press. You will see we have a place to post good press, and a place to post bad press, you can post photo's of your staff doing agility, training, attending a day out and indeed post any details of days out that you hear of.
In return for this, every time a Staffy receives bad press, we will formulate the best way to deal with it. I will either send out an email or letter to the appropriate people, or I will ask you via email to forward an email on. If every member of the forum agrees to be part of this we will have nearly 3000 voices to be heard.
The idea came from a similar organisation set up for rottweilers and they have on a number of occasions managed to take the entire switchboard and email communications system of the BBC down.
Please join and help me make our voices heard.

The list got deleted as people were added one at a time - that was the idea behind it lol. I've got a full list if you need it but the people who are my "friends" are the members mostly.

Watts. That made me chuckle. How very technical. I feel sorry for you if you do ever decide to count them.Every time i wanna count anything one of the kids come and tell me something so important (like whats for tea or can i have some cash) and i lose count. I once tried to count our money jar but gave up after the kids kapt coming in.

Start up an excel spreedsheet with a formula to count the members for you! It will be easier to cut & paste names into it than count ea week. What me to make one for you to use?

hi this is a brill idea. although we only had our stafyy for 5 days shes as good as gold but all this bad publicity meanbs people are scared of them. this is wrong. i will also join the facebook group.
