What the hell have i bought....lol
First topic message reminder :
New guy here!!, saw the vid on youtube and though this looked like a smashing site so I just joined up!
Ok, lets see how good you lot are then!! this is my little fella, hes 10 month old, weighs 30kgs, is 20" at the withers, 20" head circumference and a 16in neck, he's pretty solid already and is a really great little puppy. just has a problem with not running off every time he sees another dog!
Never fights, always backs down, just wants to play with everyone and everything.
Only problem is we are unsure what he has in him, some of our friends joke that he looks a lot like an American Pitt, but being that I'm in the UK, I doubt it very much, others say american bulldogge, others claim he is staff mix....
He's a Rescue so no one knows what he is.
As he was from 12 weeks - 10 months so far....

As I said, your help would be great guys/girls, this site seems to be full of all kinds of experience and i dare say there will be features that you lot will notice that we normal people just dont see now we have been living with him for the last 7 months!!!
Hope to be a regular member here, so thanks in advance for any help or advice / thoughts on him and what he is a mix of or if you even think he is something else!?

with the playing, if he is good with recall untill he sees another four legged play friend, then you need to get him to soci classes, failing that i will swap you. you can have my two cow bags and i will have him. (only joking) but sounds like he is an angel no matter what he is.

Re: What the hell have i bought....lol
I tried the Soci classes round here but they are on spesfic days, my problem is i cant be consistant due to the nature of my work, and the fact we have a young nipper and another on the way, they are held in the evenings and prefer the same handler to attend all the time, they reckon there is no point it me going one week the the wife going the next (if she could but our dauger is knackered from preschool and is in no mood to hang about a soci class).
Lucky for me there are plenty of dogs round the local parks and walk areas, have started using the 30foot lead, first few times he nearly ripped his own head off doing double spins through the air as he sprinted off.....after two of those he has learned not to do that anymore, hes being really good on it....I get a feeling he knows he is still attached, the moment I think " Oh he's learning" and let him off, he will get 4 meters away and where he would stop on the long lead, he would just bolt off towards the dogs again to play.
lol

i have used a long lead with my girls now for a couple of months, one of them got off it the other week but only went as far as the lead would have let her, with boys it takes longer keep up the good work you will get there.

I love that a lot of people saw what I saw in these pics!
The first pic made me think boxer. Some of the others I can definitely see the staffy in him. The one of his back made me think ridgeback.
I think you can sum it up with "staffy cross"
He is gorgeous though. Very unique characteristics! he's a keeper
