should i be worried
Im thinking of getting a bull terrier puppy soon, and im most likley going to be living right near tghe beach. is that a good place to take this kind of dog and play with him there? do they like to swim? and should i be worried about it snapping on me or anyone i no? i love pitbulls but im hesitent to get one cuz they sketch me out cuz of that. Will this breed of dog cause any trouble like this?

Any dog will be fine, as long as its raised properly, knows its boundary's and pecking order.

I needed to make sure you weren't in the UK before commenting. I agree with the above comment to be fair I think any dog from decent breeding, raised properly will be fine.

Re: should i be worried
I take it you mean Staffordshire Bull Terrier and not an English Bull Terrier (called literally a 'Bull Terrier')
I love Pit Bulls and if I lived in the US I'd have one in a flash. However I like to think of the Stafford as a miniature Pit with a bit more 'love' chucked into the mix lol.
Staff's aren't the best swimmers since they're muscular like a Pit Bull. However virtually any breed of dog will be great if treated with compassion, love and discipline!

I'm going to be very honest here and don't mean any offence!
Just those comments make me think that you need to do a lot more research before getting any of the bully breeds. Maybe it's not the dog for you no matter how much you love them. They are not for everyone!

Re: should i be worried
Just remember, its not the breed, it what people encourage them to do and how to act around other dogs, people and situations.
I'm always on Cody's case, him going after a cat or whatever is not funny, or acceptable.
if he even looks at a dog funny, he gets checked, he never enters or exits the house before my 4yr old daugher, she can walk up to his bowl while he is eating and put her hands in and take biscuits out (supervised of course) he knows she is above him in evey way, its so important to establish this from the word go.
Believe it or not, I've put his food down before and left the house, totally forgetting that I've not given him the command to eat, hes sat there drooling all over the floor for over 1.5hrs waiting for me to let him eat it!
Any dog is fine mate, just make sure you don't give them an inch.

Re: should i be worried
Read all the post on this forum for a couple of weeks , and you will get more of an idea of what is involved with staffies
You seem very inexperienced, so as oxide said , research the breed, and others - You may well find a more suitable breed

Re: should i be worried
Do some more research and decide if its the dog for you.
All I can tell you is
1. They require a strong leader.
2. They require plenty of exercise.
3. They will test the boundaries.
4. They require plenty of socialisation and mixing with friendly dogs from a young age.
Meet all the above (and probably a hell of alot more Ive forgotten about) and your get a great dog.
