Precious has ran away....

I cant believe it, im soo upset. My oh was walking her this morning at about 5ish she was off lead as no1 was about. She was fine untill he got near home then she didnt wanna walk any further, he managed to get her back to the path to front door, thinking she was following he kept walking and then turned around and she was gone. Nowhere to be seen he walked around for about half hour looking for her. He came and woke me up to tell me and we jumped in the car to look for her. Still no sign im home now and going to start ringing around. She was booked in for microchipping next week!! I reallly hope she comes back or we find her. She must of been really unhappy, y would she do this?? We were really good to her, she was very nervous as i said on another post when i first got her. I wonder if not having a proper stable home made her do this? Im besides myself with worry. Im scared that the wrong person will find her, not hand her in and use her for fighting/breeding as she was very short and stocky. I didnt even get any decent pics of her to print off, i got 1 video somewhere but i cant do much with that. What am i gonna do?? PLease help im soooo upset. I dont know what to do with myself, I think Kane can feel my worry as he wont leave my side. Ive gotta take my son to pre school now so i need to sort myself out!!

ok first of all you need to contact your local police station and local council and dog warden to inform that to keep an eye out for her
then registar her on the lost dogs website i can do this for you if you like as iam a member
after you have taken your son to preschool then start to knock local the more people that know the better chance of getting her back .also contact all the vets in your area as someone might of taken her to one let me know if you want me to add her to the lost dogs website. good luck hope you find you you must be going out your mind.

i really hope you find her hun but why was she off lead? some thing could of spooked her or she might of spotted a cat? i know jack always sees em first in the dark before i do!!

Sorry to hear that...i know how you must be feeling.

I once let my lad off the lead in the countryside while he was young (12 months).Up until that point he had always come back on command but this time he had his nose stuck to the ground and he bolted off into the
sunset with no regard for the sound of my voice while i called him to stop and come back.No idea what made him do it but whatever it was it must`ve been more important than listening to his daddy.

I lost him for over an hour and eventually set off back home almost in tears,when suddenly he appeared out of nowhere just as i was reaching the main road again to get in the car and leave.

Stupid little bugger looked at me as if to say "whats up with you?...have i done something wrong?"

Keep your fingers crossed and stay positive.Not everyone in this world`s bad and a lot of people will go and hand in her in at the cop shop or nearest shelter.
Would`ve been easier to locate her if she was chipped but dont give up hope just yet.Walk round your village again and you might just find her.

Thanks guys, i feel so lost and scared god knows how she is feeling right now. Ive called to the pdsa and they have my details which they have passed onto battersea, ive called the police also. They all have my details. Precious is tan with a bit of white on her chest and feet. She is very short about 14/15 inchs, very stocky, quite a long/slim nose. She is very timid but adores people and kids, I didnt think she would ever leave our side. Im hoping that there wasnt somebody there enticing her away with food or something and has taken her. Do dogs find their way home like cats do?? Thanks for your kind words. Staffie2 what info do you need? and thanks.

OMG - you must be worried sick -

Have you got time to also go knocking on a few doors to and ask - someone may have taken her in -

Also get some paper and do some quick posters and place them on a few lamp posts - be careful you don't get done though by the anti lamp post police!!!!

Wish I could help you - but I live too far away sad

I really hope you find her - can you also stay at home today just in case she returns home -

thats great the lost dogs website is good when strays come into our kennels where i volenteer we allways post the details on there i will help you as much as i can would also contact your local rspca centre and inform them aswell hope you find her soon.

Its the male hormones - when they are pups they tend to stick to you like glue - as they get older they wander further away - and around this age they just bolt - little monkey's aren't they - Smile

omg how awful this is the worst thing, when you are looking for her go to her fav place, do you somewhere you always walk with her, do you have a collor with tel number on. i wish i was still in london i would join in the search but i am 115 miles away. please keep us posted, if you do manage to get her back witch i have faith keep her on lead. sending our love from sam si candy and rosie

So sorry to hear your news. I do hope she turns up safe & well, did she have a disc on?

My very first staffy ran away when she was spooked in the garden by a firework. I spent 2 hours looking for her and all the time she was sat tucked up in someones house. The lady was waiting for her hubby to come home so she could go to the phone box and ring me.

Do you have a local free paper? See if you can get something in there for this week, lost pets in my paper are free, it is worth a shot.

Oh no, I have just seen this. Chances are shes still quite close to where you lost her. Knock on as many doors as possible armed with a big photo, ask everyone you see. Put up posters, ring rescues and all the vets in your local area. I will also try and spread the word online, wish I was more local so I could help. Dont give up and leave no stone unturned.

Make sure you put up posters or letters thru doors etc this wy people will know you are looking for her and less likely to keep her. Have you tried local dog warden? hUGS X

We hear them ours..but we are quite "yocal" small towns etc.
