Precious has ran away....

First topic message reminder :

I cant believe it, im soo upset. My oh was walking her this morning at about 5ish she was off lead as no1 was about. She was fine untill he got near home then she didnt wanna walk any further, he managed to get her back to the path to front door, thinking she was following he kept walking and then turned around and she was gone. Nowhere to be seen he walked around for about half hour looking for her. He came and woke me up to tell me and we jumped in the car to look for her. Still no sign im home now and going to start ringing around. She was booked in for microchipping next week!! I reallly hope she comes back or we find her. She must of been really unhappy, y would she do this?? We were really good to her, she was very nervous as i said on another post when i first got her. I wonder if not having a proper stable home made her do this? Im besides myself with worry. Im scared that the wrong person will find her, not hand her in and use her for fighting/breeding as she was very short and stocky. I didnt even get any decent pics of her to print off, i got 1 video somewhere but i cant do much with that. What am i gonna do?? PLease help im soooo upset. I dont know what to do with myself, I think Kane can feel my worry as he wont leave my side. Ive gotta take my son to pre school now so i need to sort myself out!!

She will still be close hopefully, one of mine was picked up by the warden as I'd stupidly taken his collar off in the garden one day. Took a few days to find him but we rang all the shelters, luckily for him the warden got him.

ive been looking at all the lost dog websites all day in the hope someone would of posted her as found.

Although i know you must be worrying yourself silly there aren't really that many horrible people in the world - there are many, many more nice people who would look after her and try and find you. Just caught this post -

- a local womans staffy ran off a few months ago and she started a Facebook page to 'advertise' the loss by posting details and pictures and personal messages - within a few days she had thousands of 'friends' - and one returned puppy! So it would definately be worth a try.

Hi guys, thanks for being so supportive. Hardly slept last night. We're so so worried, oh is blaming himself. You guys really are great, staffie2 thanks for your kind offer. You lot have been a great comfort, even though you all make me cry whenever i read a new post. Oh went out last night as he heard a dog barking, crying & scratching wen he was calling in someones garden down the road. So he knocked and the man was acting very dodgy, Chris asked the man to see the dog that was barking and he brought out a jack russell!! He is still suspicious though and will go back today and call her. Goin internet cafe today to print of some posters and ask if the local shops can put it up. Im losing hope as i thought she would have come back already. I will keep you all updated. Thanks again xx

Don't give up Hope yet - by the sounds of it someone will have taken her in

Posters will help - also try doing the neighbourhood round - ring your vets as sometimes people find pets and take them there - also ring round dog rescue -

God You both must be sick with worry - but try not to blame one another - Your OH shouldn't be so hard on himself - he wasn;t to know what was going to happen.

Also go back on the route where you lost Precious - check ditches etc in case she is hiding.

Can't imagine what you must be going through.

I know its easy for me to say, but don't give up hope yet, dogs have found their way home or been returned after much longer periods of 'misadventure'.

You must be feeling totally helpless, but take some comfort in the fact that you are doing everything you possibly can and hopefull some luck will come your way.

Thoughts are with you and hope like hell your baby boy comes home soon!

sorry you have not found her yet posters are good you need to make her too hot to handle . ive seen she is now on the lost dogs website which is good. i would defo go back to that mans house just in case. if you havnt done so allready ring round all the local vets again as its a possiblity someone could have handed her in last night try not to lose hope we are all thinking and praying she will come home.x

Logged in this morning hoping for good news . Please don't give up hope tho keep on checking with all local vets, dog shelters, dog wardens, police etc the facebook angle seems a good idea also you should go with your instincts and try again with the guy with the Jack Russell . I had disturbed sleep last night so god only knows what you two went thru.
