Why do staffy pups like to nick rings and earrings
woke up this morning to find in sky's bed my whole jew boxs and scocks shoes and my little girls toothpaste but with no teeth marks in anything is it all staffys or just mine that is going mad

Staffy's steal everything if it's not bolted down & even then they'll give it a go!

my girl has never taken any of my jewellrey, but she does like fleece blankets

All dogs and puuies steal things not just staffies. I had a terrible time with Sharky stealing. He would jump on a chair on the diningroom table onto the kitchen counters to get things.

well they have stolen shoes (no longer recognisable), they steal toilet tissue and make a better job of it then the andrex puppies 1000's peices in 5 secs flat, they steal socks, knickers, boxer shorts, paper work, t.v remote one completley damange, glasses case, simons medication (lucky it is in a case they have put lots of teeth marks in. si is a type one diebetic) crisp packets of the side, bottles of drink, candy has even at one of the pubs pulled out the wire grips that are nailed into the wall and cont to eat it.

she takes them right infront of me she knows she is doing wrong coz she looks right at me and runs lie hell also she has a thing when i inject my self coz i'm type 1 diebetic she keeps on going for the neddle and looks at me like why do you do that at this very min she is sat on the window seal watching my bf clean his bike am sure she is bonkers but wouldnt have her any other way lol

You have to teach a dog not to steal as this is their nature. If she takes something don't chase her to get it - this turns into a big game of chase with you getting more agitated and her not understanding why you are so cross. When you catch her tell her off give her a toy and praise her when she takes the toy. Mine will only take a chance with food but it must be way to tempting for any dog to resist.

None of mine take anything but Gracie has a tendency to nibble at ear rings in your ears and can take them out!

si is type one what we have done when candy was a puppy is let her sit next to him whilst he injects he has to do it four times a day, this was she learnt that it was nothing bad and it was ok we would talk to her with incoraging tones daddy is ok not to worrie. she sits with him every time he injects to make sure daddy is ok. dont push her away let her see what you are doing and that it is ok.
