Add yourself To The Staffy Forum Member Location Map

Not sure how well this will work or if the forum will allow this. But i thought i would create a map through googlemaps and allow members to add there location on it (please do not use exact locations) so that we could see what members are close to each other in order to arrange meets etc if people wanted to do this.

I'll post the link here, could you please tell me if this is allowed and if this works as well. As im not sure which code to paste.

on the border (powys) i live in a place called llanymynech , you need a bucket full of spit to pronounce it

there used to be a pub in the lil village you could drink in Wales & eat in England, i do count my lucky stars where i live its beautiful, and if anyone passes through here, i dont mind showing ppl around lol

Right thank you for accepting my idea now let me try to work out how people can add themselves lol

I have attached a few screen shots, there should be an edit button on the top of the column on the left, after clicking that there should be a few options come up on the top left of the map. Click on the middle one to add a point, add a point and add a name etc.

This is what you should see from the link

Then you should be able to click the edit button and see this

It seams you need to be registered with google first tho?

Yes i believe you do need to be a google account holder. Thank you for adding yourself, it seems your very far away lol.

If you do not have an account or dont wish to open one, give me your location and name of you/dog and ill add you to the map.

well I am registered with google and the stupid thing has saved my address instead of my name and the dogs names and won't let me change it so someone techy go in an get rid of my postcode lol

I have allowed any one to edit. As i am hoping that everyone on here is trust worthy. The map is only accessibly to those with the link, so its not open to anyone.

Thanks for fixing it. Hopefully this will work out well and will help people arrange meets with each other.

I think what Emma means is will it at some point tell us its x number of miles from my house to her house and x number from hers to yours? Or do we have to be really intelligent and figure it out somewhere else...
