Male Staffys

Hey all,

Before i ask this question, please dont think im a weirdo or anything but i was wondering....with male dogs, probably not only staffys, when does their pee pee become normal looking?? laughing
Cause Tyson is 8 months old now and people still think he's a girl cause theres nothing really there laughing He even squats to pee instead of lifting his foot rolling on the floor Is that normal?
So im just curious at what age do things start to look as they should?

it happen to me i thought my sam was abit dodgy, he was around 12-14 months before he started to lift his leg up

Enzo was 7 months when he first started cocking his leg but some dont do it until they are about 2 years old, others just dont ever do it.

It`s got to do with dominance in mine opinion .
When he lift his leg he`s not that affectionate anymore and he is ready to conquer the world .

billy was almost two before he started cocking his leg.

if you are saying his penis is non existant, i have never heard of that. the sheath is a ''size in proportion to the dog'' kinda thing but if it is that his testicles havn't descended it is time for a visit to the vet. testicles have usually descended by about six months, some can take longer but it is worth getting it checked out as a retained testicle can cause serious health problems.

We had him neutered just before he was 6 monhts old and i think its affected the way his pee pee (and whole body in general) has grown rolling on the floor I guess we'll just have to wait and see!! Fingers crossed for the little fella though rolling on the floor

Cocking legs was classed as a bad habit or so i read somewhere, if your dog doesnt do it i wouldnt worry about it, my Male Akita only seems to cock his leg when hes marking, when hes urinating its a mixture of quating or cocking deppending on where he decides to go.

Gough lost his 'friends' at 6 months & didn't start lifting his leg until he was 18 months - probably due to separation anxiety!

I have been told that it is a learnt behaviour.
