Story about a litter of staffies, bred for money in an area of London that has a high level of violent crime.

One woman is buying one for protection for her teenage daughter and wants to give it a macho name. I think we can see how this programme is going to portray the breed

thanks for that as long as its not got any fighting in ill watch it i will have to turn it over otherwise.

I have heard 2 lots about it now, one from the person who rang to tell me about it and the sky bumph that both say its following 7 pups to see how they get on, I think we'll just have to watch it and see what happens!

Synopsis


Seven puppies are born to a first-time mother called Uggs in a cramped front room in East London. These aren't just cute and cuddly puppies - they are Staffordshire bull terrier crosses, the dogs the tabloids sometimes call 'devil dogs'. They are both one of the most sought-after breeds in the country, and perversely the most frequently abandoned. One in three of Battersea Dogs Home's total intake is a Staffie cross.
This film follows the fate of Uggs' puppies as her owner tries to find new homes for them at 300 pounds a pup. It isn't long before boon turns to burden, however, as Uggs' owner realises the puppies are costing her more in food and care than she can ever make from the sales.
Introducing Uggs' owner and the new Staffie pup owners, this film uncovers the lives of the people from a marginalised section of society, who may mistrust other humans, but have a genuine love of the Staffordshire bull terrier.

I really, really, really, want this to be in favour of our beautiful breed but I have to confess that a TEENY WEENY TINY bit of me wants the BBC to get it wrong so we can let them know that we are ready to FIGHT BACK in an organised positive way?

I dont think it was as bad as I expected. It was more about people and their lives rather than the dogs.
I think I expected it to be more focused on the dogs and follow their lives for a bit longer

i agree it was more about the lives of the ppl and the woman gave like 4 pups away in the end then her son and the dad to the pups to her mother ugg wasnt a 1st time mum eather as she said in the doc we wont be haveing another xmas litter i thourt the pups wear cute but i think they wear staff x as dad looked like a x

I think it showed a bunch of idiots who are unfortunately responsible for a living creatures welfare and the programme should used as part of a national campaign to show why the media should be attacking the owners and not the dogs when things go wrong.
