news things on profile

if you goto your profile you will see i have added a warning system and a more info about you,

i'm not sure about the warming system yet i could remove in a later date

the more info you can add like how many kids you got, what job you have or whatever you like

if you would like anything else added to the profile just post it and i see what i can do.

whats the helpfull points, are they like blue peter badges

Should make a member of the month rank or something, person with most helpful points at the end of the month gets member of the month for that month or something

how it works is when some new has posted a Introductions they get a point

when they post a picture of their dog they get another point

when they post a useful post they get 4 point

i saw it on a few forum before but i'm open to ideas if anyone got a better one.

what can you do with these points steve? have to be able to use them in some way otherwise they r just a number

Just an idea, kinda pointless rewards but makes it more interesting

I think Jay has two very good ideas there as to how to use the points it will give people the incentive to come onto the site and post and share there knowledge.

I would go with Reward Points then its leaving it open to what you are going to do with the points ie member of the month, boosting your post count etc

i cant change your post count

but what i can do is is every 50 posts you do you get 25 points

the top porters of the month i could give them like 25 points too

i dont want to give to many point out because it be to easy to get max points..lmao

just thought of a idea for the people who get upto 200 points is they become a VIP member of the forum

i could make a group called VIP and make a special rank for the people who make it.

like the one we are talking about....

yea a lot of forums use the thank you button, if some1 makes a useful/helpful post then people thank them and it goes onto the reward points.

i cant do a thank you button yet the point system i have to do it manually

loads more work for you to do then....lol
