Hi all, just interested ('cause I'm slightly voyueristic...) how long on average your dogs are alone for, per day, or even per week?

Also curious as to what kind of environment they are left in, i.e, crate, room, house, outside.
We have odd hours here but it ensures that Inca is rarely by herself... she doesn't seem to have any problems when she does have to be alone so thats good, but she's not very good at playing solo.

Just curious as to how many of you have to clip, or have to get your dogs claws clipped.

I have to do Rocco's as no matter how much he is walked etc, he just does not wear them down. I have tried walking him on concrete, gravel etc for a couple of hours each day and still nothing!!! Think he must be flat footed!

I have to clip Dixie's dew claw every 4 months or so, just to keep them getting too sharp. But the rest of her claws wear down as she walks.

How many Of You Would Trust Your Staffie Alone With Kids? NOT TODDLERS OR BABIES But Children like 5 or 6 + to stay in a room alone whilst you was in a seperate room e.g in the shower. You knew the kids very well i.e. they were your own or very close - would you trust your dog to be left with them without supervision? I know lots of people say never leave kids unattended with dogs but thats not always possible if they live together. Whats your take?

Just wondered how many people leave their dogs collar on 24/7

Until recently my guys never wore their collars in the house as they had ID tags on them and the noise of the jingling drove me insane. However this bugged me greatly for two reasons

1. Should a fight break out in my house i would have nothing to grab hold of

2. Should the dogs get out they had no ID tags unless i had put their collars on.

Anyway, whilst at an agility event i found a great solution to my problem. ...
