I do see though, that this is rewarding over-excitable behaviour and she can get a bit aggressive (?) later in the day and grabs onto trouser legs and won't let go and just growls and shakes them. She has also done the grab and shake ...

Or so we thought....She has started to "pretend" to go outside now. She crouches down and has a real small leak. We praise her for doing it, normally wanders around and does a number 2 and is ready to come inside. As soon as my girlfriend is upstairs while I am still in bed, she toilets in the kitchen. ...

Apart from being annoying, it also is coming out her other end and I have to keep pulling the poo out of her bum as it's kind of attached and bungee jumping out of her!

Of course we try not to let her anywhere near our hair, but she tends to stalk up and grab it when you are not ...

Brando will be able to properly go outside tomorrow, but I wondered how long I could walk her for?

I have heard of the 5 minutes per month rule, but have also heard that it kinda refers to 5 minutes of intense excercise rather than just regular walking (as presumabley they could walk around for a lot longer than that if they were just in the house?).

She is 11 weeks old, so would I be able to walk her to the park and back? It is a 5-10 minute walk ...

I just think Cool Breeze is a wussy and I'll do anything to make her first trip out (this Saturday!!) as enjoyable as possible - snug, waterproof, wind proof etc etc

What do you think - should I just order it and get the next size up (5 cm longer), or ?? Any advice appreciated - the sooner ...

The worst time is when she is playing with other dogs and wants to get away she always runs to the nearest human and leaps at them, she nealry knocked 2 people over in the park last night. It's not just like she stands on her ...

It is done at 14 weeks (you can take them out as normal a week after first jabs this is just a back up) and here it costs £10, they only ever have it once as after that they are OK.

Havent posted for a while as you can see in the new pic we cracked the fussy eating problem thanks to the great advice from members on this site and Izzy is now eating well and putting on weight 10kgs at 6mths still a bit on the small side just less of her to pull me round the park

However all is not well Izzy is our first pup and we still have a problem with that she likes to treat out 8 year old son as a bit of a playmate jumping up at him snapping the air and pushing him around ...

When I first got Brando she remained on the Breeders diet of premium tinned puppy food mixed with Iams. I only wanted her to have dry food, so when the Iams ran out I changed her onto Purina Pro Plan. The transition was smooth with no real issues. I did a lot of research on dry foods and found that Purina wasn't that great, so again I changed her diet, this time onto Orijen.
Sorry everybody that I only seem to ask questions on this forum, but I don't have much helpful info to give out yet.

My question this time is that I'm wondering if 6 months old is getting a little late to still be biting? He seems like he's just playing and its not vicious, but it's kind of embarrassing when he'll nip and bite at everyone he meets. Even people he knows well (my wife) and other children. It seems like it only happens when he's excited, and most of the time when he meets people ...

Advice on Crate training

Hiya

I've had Barney for almost 3 weeks now. He's been sleeping in a bed in the living room as it was too cold in the kitchen for him. He's started to chew some things. So we decided to get a crate.

He is quite good at coming in and out of his crate, but the minute i shut the door he starts crying. I don't want to just shut the door and leave him crying all night as he will keep the kids up not to mension the neighbours. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has any idea why Cool Breeze keeps getting hiccups? She's had them every day since we got her (just over a week ago), at first it was really cute, well it still is but I'm thinking it can't be very nice for her.

If we knew what the trigger might be we could help her, or is it just one of those things she'll grow out of?

Any ideas/advice appreciated

But my Joker got white "dust" in his coat.

Is there something I can do?
What does it come from?
Could it be his puppy shampoo? or is it just cold outside.

Hi again everyone

We're struggling a bit with Cool Breeze's potty training.. she was doing really well (only a few accidents in the first 2 weeks) but all of a sudden she's decided she will go anywhere but not outside when it's raining.

This seems to have happened since her introduction to rain on Sunday morning which she hates - she spends all her time trying to hide under my legs/under garden table etc to get shelter. Living in the North West, we kind of really need her to get over ...

I really really want Jasper to be good on a lead, my previous staff was a rescue and was 2 yrs old when I got her. She had never been lead trained and would not walk with the lead attached to her collar as she pulled too much. i had to walk her on a harness but she pulled really bad as she did not know any better, tried all the techniques but nothing worked!!!!

What is everyones opinion about whether a collar or a harness is better?

Feeding on Beta Puppy food

OK you probably all think I am a bit neurotic by now but never mind!!!!

Jasper is having Purina Beta Puppy dry food which he loves but the feeding guidelines are really vague!!!! He is 8 weeks old at the moment and I just wondered if anyone else used this food and how much did they feed their pup? Also how much did you increase it by every week?

Am totally paranoid about him being fat or hungry!!!

Thanks guys!!!!

Oreo Has been doing great - No more snarling or lunging or biting. But today he seems to be going back to his old ways. He was eating a filled bone and i took it away to readjust him blanket and then after i took it away he grumbled and went to try and bite my other hand. Then he was running around trying to bite me kind of growling - When I tried to grab him he grumbled and tried to bite me. I went upstairs and when i came down he was pestering the degus and when i tried to stop him he tried ...
