Keep the forum 98% advert free

Dear Members,

As the number of forum members increases so do the costs of the running the forum. As you all know this is a free forum and you do not have to pay to become a member, however we are now having to look at ways to fund the extra costs. Should you wish to make a voluntary contribution we would be very grateful as this would allow us to keep the forum 98% advert free. We will provide a link to contribute via paypal for anyone who wishes to do so.

Please note that not contributing will not affect your membership or your ability to post and you wil not be barred from certain areas.

I only just noticed this thread. I have donated because the help and advice have been fantastic & people have gone out of there way to be friendly and helpful. I just want to say am sorry the donation is not big.but not got alot spare with xmas coming up.

couple of boating forums I belong to have 2 different ways of raising funds..

1. An in your face post appears every once a while in the main section stating the " tin needs a rattle guys please "

2. A bar up on the main page of the forum shows an honest target of what is needed and goes up every time there is donation.

It is all voluntary whatever if you can afford it donations ..but it just reminds people that it costs money to provide the forum they enjoy.

just a token £1.00 if you can, donation from every member would swell the coffers?

A little from everyone goes a long long way!! If there is anything left over after costs...great a chance to donate to Staffy Rescue!!
